Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Slight cold has knocked on the doors of Madhya Pradesh with the night temperature falling below 20 degrees in all the cities of the state. Hill station Pachmarhi is the coldest with the night temperature reaching 11 degrees. Betul, Raisen, Rajgarh, Chhindwara, Mandla, Rewa, Umaria and Malanjkhand also recorded low temperatures.
Meteorologist Ashfaq Hussain said that the night temperature has dropped due to a change in wind direction. This phase of cold will continue till October.
Day temperature around 30 degree
On Tuesday, the day temperature in most cities was between 30 to 32 degrees.
The mercury was recorded at 31.9 degrees in Bhopal, 31.6 degrees in Indore, 32.3 degrees in Gwalior, 30.2 degrees in Jabalpur and 33 degrees in Ujjain.
Pachmarhi remained the coldest even during the day. The temperature here was recorded at 26.8 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Betul was 28.5 degrees, 28.5 degrees in Naugaon and 28 degrees in Malanjkhand.
The day temperature in Chhindwara, Rewa, Sidhi, Khargone was around 30 degrees.
Cold to intensify in November
Meteorologist Hussain said that Western Disturbance is active in North India. At the same time, there is a Western Disturbance over Himachal Pradesh as well. Due to this, there will be neither rain nor severe cold in the state. The changing of wind direction has led to cold at night. No change is expected in the weather till October 31. The effect of cold may intensify from the first week of November.
