MP Riti Pathak & collector attend farmers’ convention

Shahdol: Member of Parliament from Sidhi Riti Pathak and District Collector Dr Ashok Bhargava on Monday attended a farmers’ seminar at Gram Panchayat Saman of Beohari Development Block.

MP Pathak addressed the seminar and said that the state government has launched a new revolution in the field of agriculture sector to make agriculture a profitable business. She also said that under Agriculture Festival scientists are going village to village and informing farmers about the various modern technologies. She also appealed to the villagers to participate in PM’s Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan and keep cleanliness in their homes and villages and fulfill the dream of clean India. She also thanked the farmers and said that with their efforts Madhya Pradesh has two time won Krashi Kraman Pruruskar for best agricultural growth in the country.

District Collector Ashok Kumar Bhargava also addressed the seminar and appealed to the farmers to implement modern technologies in their agriculture for the maximum productions from their crops.

He also appealed to the farmers to adopt animal husbandry, poultry and fisheries which will act as parallel economy to the agriculture.

He also asked farmers to maintain cleanliness in their houses and village and to construct toilet in their houses. He also informed farmers about the importance of the education and appealed farmers to send their children to schools.

MLA from Beohari Rampal Singh while addressing the ceremony also appealed farmers to get maximum informations from the scientist regarding the modern technologies and adopt them in their agriculture.

MP Pathak also distributed kisan credit cards and mini kits of seeds during the ceremony.

Sarpanch Jaish Vaish, Deputy Director of Agriculture RS Charmkar, Project Director ( ATMA) ND Gupta and large numbers of farmers were also present during the seminar.
