BHOPAL: MP which has been securing the prestigious Krishi Karman Award of Govt of India for last two years on account of remarkable achievements in agriculture sector, has been short-listed for the award for year 2013-14. MP is among five major states short-listed for the award apart from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Punjab. Giving this information, the Union Ministry of Agriculture has invited MP govt to give a presentation before the screening committee headed by Union Agriculture Secretary at New Delhi on Oct 14. The presentation for year 2013-14 will comprise food grains and oilseed production and the strategy and measures adopted by the state govt for these achievements. It has also been asked to give information in the presentation about methods adopted for coordination between concerning departments including Energy, Irrigation, Food, credit etc.
