Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh is witnessing constant changes in weather pattern since last one week due to an active Western Disturbance. The weather department has issued an alert for hailstorm in seven districts today, while other regions of the state might witness light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.
Seven districts may witness hailstorms
According to the meteorological department the district of Mandla, Balaghat, Shahdol, Sidhi, Singrauli, and Mauganj are expected to experience hailstorm on Thursday.
While other districts like Bhopal, Vidisha, Sehore, Harda, Betul, Narmadapuram, Sagar, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Jabalpur, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Rewa, Maihar, Katni, Umaria, Dindauri and Anuppur may witness strong thunderstorms and light rain.
Western Disturbance causing constant weather changes
These significant changes in the weather pattern are caused because of two cyclonic circulation systems. These systems has led to the onset of rainfall across the state, which is expected to continue till March 22.
These systems has also led to a significant drop of 2-3 degrees daytime temperature across the state.
However, by the end of March the state might record a evident rise in the temperature. Many parts of the state may see temperatures cross 40 degree, signaling the arrival of severe heatwaves in the the coming months.

March 21: Orange alert has been issued for hail, thunder and lightning in Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shahdol, Siwini, Mandla and Balaghat.
Jabalpur, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Rewa, Maihar, Damoh, Sagar, Katni, Umaria, Dindauri, Anuppur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Betul, Narmadapuram, Raisen, Vidisha, Sehore, Harda are likely to experience thunderstorm and light rain.
March 22: Drizzle and cloudy in Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Maihar, Shahdol, Anuppur, Dindauri, Mandla and Balaghat.
