MP in grip of biting cold, 8.6° C in Bhopal, Damoh 5° C

BHOPAL: Entire state including Bhopal was in grip of biting cold. In Bhopal, night temperature dropped by 3° C infusing frostiness in atmosphere on Sunday. Day temperature reduced nominally. Damoh recorded 5° C which was lowest in the state.

Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 21.2° C which was 4° C below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 8.6° C which was 1° C below normal.

On Saturday, day temperature was 21.9° C while night temperature was 11.6° C. So it reflects that night temperature dropped by 3° C. Pachmarhi recorded 6.9° C. Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 22.2° C which was 4° C below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 8.6° C which was 1° C below normal.

Gwalior recorded a maximum temperature of 14.6° C which was 7° C below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 8.1° C which was 2° C above normal. Jabalpur recorded a maximum temperature of 21.0° C which was 4° C below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 12.1° C which was 2° C above normal.

According to Meteorological department, rain is likely in various divisions like Rewa, Sagar, Shahdol and Jabalpur. Rewa, Shahdol and Jabalpur divisions experienced rain in the last 24 hours. Sidhi recorded 2cm rain. Fog is expected to prevail in various parts of the state particularly Gwalior and Chambal divisions.There was vertical drop in temperature in Gwalior, Chambal, Rewa and Sagar divisions.
