BHOPAL : A minor girl was threatened and raped by a history-sheeter criminal in the TT Nagar area for the last four months. The act came to light when the girl became pregnant and mustered the courage to reveal her ordeal to her parents. Subsequently the mother of the girl took her to the Mahila Thana and registered a complaint against the accused. The Mahila Thana on the complaint of the victim registered a case against the accused under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC, section 3A and 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and launched a manhunt to nab him.
The victim 16-year-old girl in her complaint has stated that the accused Rohit Sen, son of Shiv Sen, resident of slum in the South TT Nagar area lives in her locality and is a habitual criminal. On January 25 he came to her house when she was alone and raped her after threatening her of dire consequences if she resisted.
She further said that after the incident he raped her number of times at her home and at other places. When she became four months pregnant he said that he would kill her if she told about the incident to the police.
Later when the situation became unbearable she mustered the courage and narrated the atrocities to her mother. Her mother immediately filed a complaint in the Mahila Thana on Wednesday.
