Bhopal: Bhopal, which has faced the brunt of excessive rain just a couple of days ago, may experience another spell of it as meteorological department on Monday issued warning of heavy rain for Bhopal and other districts including Vidisha, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Agar, Shajapur, Indore, Rajgarh, Burhanpur, Khargone, Badwani, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Shivpuri districts in the next 24 hours.
Alert for heavy rain has been issued for Guna, Betul, Agar, Ujjain and Hoshangabad district while alert has been sounded for Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Dewas, Khandwa, Seoni, Vidisha, Harda, Sehore and Dhar districts.
Director, meteorological department, Dr Anupam Kashyapi said that there is a system lying over west Madhya Pradesh. Besides, moisture incursion continues from Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea.
In Vidisha, Betwa river is flowing 10ft above danger mark. Two rescue teams from Bhopal have been dispatched to Vidisha. Vidisha-Ashok Nagar road connectivity has been totally snapped due to heavy rain. Normal life has been totally paralysed in Vididha.
In Bhopal, pipe water supply remained disrupted for the last two days continuously and the situation would remain just the same on Tuesday as leakage in Kolar pipeline has not been repaired. On first day, the water supply was disrupted just because of disruption in the power supply to pump house but soon after, there was big leakage at Jyotibaphule Bhavan.
