BHOPAL : The day temperature fell by a shade in the capital on Wednesday even as heat wave continued unabated all over the state. Naugaon, Damoh and Datia recorded 47 degrees Celsius, with day temperatures ruling above normal in most parts.
Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 43.9°C, which was 3°C above normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 26.2°C which was normal. On Tuesday, the day temperature was 45°C. So it fell by one degree Celsius.
It was hot right from the morning, paralysing normal life in the state capital and by 10 it seemed as if the entire city was boiling. By noon, heat was at its peak which persisted throughout the day.
As per the meteorological department, heat wave continued unabated in the state with the day temperatures soaring above normal.
Many places recorded 47 degrees Celsius. Dust storms and thunder showers are expected at isolated places over extreme north Madhya Pradesh covering Morena, Bhind, Datia, Tikamgarh, Chhattarpur, Panna, Satna and Rewa district.
Severe heat wave condition is likely to prevail at isolated place over Shahdol, Jabalpur, Sagar, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Ujjain and Gwalior. Heat wave is likely in Chambal, Indore, Rewa divisions.
