Medical students demo at RSS meeting venue

BHOPAL : Medical students, whose admissions have been cancelled in various medical colleges, demonstrated on Friday for justice at Thengadi Bhavan where RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was to address RSS brain storming meeting.

The students held placards demanding justice. But they were not allowed to meet RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. However, RSS volunteers took the memorandum for Bhagwat and told medical student to go back. But in the meantime, police detained them and they were brought to TT Nagar police station.  After written assurance that they will not demonstrate any more, they were released from police station.  They had gone there for demonstration as they tried to meet Chief Minister, ministers but no one is ready to even spare time for them.  Dr Neha Verma said, “We had gone to meet RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat to convey our demand. We had gone there as we tried to meet Chief Minister, ministers but no one is ready to even spare time for them.  But we were not allowed to meet him.  But our memorandum was taken to Bhagwat by RSS volunteers and we were assured that memorandum will be handed over to Bhagwat. We returned but in mean time, police detained us and brought us to TT Nagar police station. We were threatened for FIR and taken written assurance that we will not demonstrate in the days to come”.
