Mayor witnesses BRTS trial, says drivers need more practice

BHOPAL: Bhopal City Link Limited ( BCLL) drivers need rigorous practice to learn how to properly stop the bus at Bus stops so that elderly persons and women do not face any problems. Drivers also need to learn how to ensure that the lower part of the bus does not graze against the platform of the bus stops.

Mayor Krishna Gaur said, ” There is need of practice for drivers to gain perfection. They have to maintain the distance with accuracy so that the elderly would be able to board the buses without any problems and on the other hand, bus floor should not graze against the bus stop floor. The dry run which Bhopal City Link Limited ( BCLL) is carrying on is good and it is going on smoothly.

She saw the dry trial on Monday. Various senior officials were present. On Monday, trial was started on 8.00 am. It was the third day of trial.

Mayor said, ” We have deployed 35 people for Misrod to RRL Trisection. Total 150 persons will be deployed on the 24- km- long Bus Rapid Transit System ( BRTS) Corridor to manage smooth traffic.” ” We got good response from the public. Entire team is smoothly carrying on the trial and we hope improvement. We have main object to provide better transport facilities to the commuters,” Mayor added.
