BHOPAL : A Maruti Van caught fire at RRL Trisection under Bagsewania police station on Thursday. There were no casualties, though there was long traffic jam after the incident.
As per the police, Sunil Gupta of Shakti Nagar was going from RKDF College to Shakti Nagar along with his friend when at RRL Petrol Pump his car (MP-09-HD-3783) caught fire.
As Sunil Gupta saw smoke bellowing out, he immediately got out of the vehicle.
The Van was running on petrol and the suspicion is that loose wiring might have caused the fire. Sunil Gupta was himself driving the van and his friend was also in the van. Both are safe, police added.
