BHOPAL : After MANIT administration failed to act against senior students involved in ragging in architecture department, anti-ragging helpline has forwarded the complaint to university grant commission and AICTE for seeking reply from the institute authorities.
On October 1, junior students in the department submitted a complaint on anti-ragging helpline. They said seniors beat them up and harassed them mentally and physically. The helpline sought action from MANIT administration and ask for file FIR in the case.
Six days after the complaint, no action was taken against students. MANIT director Dr Appu Kuttan KK said the matter was handed over to Proctorial board and because of Dussehra vacation, the board could not come out with its recommendation. After the institute opens, action will be taken against all those involved in ragging case.
