Meghnagar : A man who got off the train to get drinking water from the Megh Nagar railway station, lost his balance while trying to catch the train when it moved on from the station.

The incident happened when Prakash, a resident of Dhogla, was travelling to Baroda, to get his son treated.

The train halted at Meghnagar station at around 8.30 pm and Prakash got down from the train to fill water in his bottle. He tried few water kiosks at the station, but they had dried up and had no water. Meanwhile, the train whistled and started moving.

Prakash tried to jump into the moving train, but he lost his balance, and slipped beneath the train. The accident turned out to be painfully fatal.

There are about 74 taps in the water kiosks in Meghnagar railway station, but only a few of them have water flowing through the pipes. Surprisingly all the taps of the kiosks provide water during the inspection sessions of higher officials.
