BHOPAL: A UGC team, conducting inspection of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University for Journalism and Mass Communication for providing grant, encountered students’ protest and anomalies running in the university. Students staged protest before the team and burnt effigy of vice- chancellor BK Kuthiyala for providing jobs to persons of a particular ideology. Students told the team members that there were only 28 teachers in the university and the number of peons is 75. No facility is provided to students despite heavy fee charged from them.
They said the university was opened for journalism and mass communication but the number of students in computer and management courses is higher than.
Students to decide whether semester system will continue
