Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh is set to get its first driving training center in Chhatarpur district.

The facility will begin operations soon after receiving approval from the Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT), Pune.

In February, three separate teams from CIRT will visit the center to inspect its technical setup, financial aspects, and overall supervision.

Once CIRT gives the green signal, the training center will be operated under the supervision of the Transport Department by the Tapasya Sai Baba Jan Kalyan Shiksha Prasad Samiti.

After completing training at this center, applicants will receive a certificate, which will allow them to obtain a permanent driving license from the Regional Transport Office (RTO).

In addition to Chhatarpur, the state government has decided to establish District Driving Training Centers (DDTCs) in Satna, Damoh, and Singrauli, while another Driving Training Center (DTC) will be set up in Panna.

If this pilot project proves successful, similar Regional Driving Training Centers (RDTCs) and DDTCs will be established in all districts of Madhya Pradesh.

This new system aims to make the driving license process more transparent and efficient.

According to Dr. R.K. Chaturvedi, the director of the committee, the center in Chhatarpur is now fully ready. With this initiative, the state government hopes to improve road safety by ensuring better training for new drivers before they receive their licenses.
