Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Dengue cases in Jabalpur are seeing a constant spurt now. More than 1 dozen positives are coming in front every day.
People are uncontrollably coming under the grip of this disease. Seven new dengue patients have been found in the city on Saturday.
The situation in the district is such that government and private hospitals are running packed with patients.
Some private hospital managements have put up a board of full beds, while in government hospitals, patients are being admitted with beds on the floor.
So far more than 600 people have been suffering from dengue in the district.
Despite this, people are not taking the necessary precautions to protect against mosquitoes.
Health officials reached two private hospitals on Saturday to inquire about dengue victims admitted in private hospitals.
District Malaria Officer RK Paharia said that a team of the department visited the dengue victims in Dixitpur and Rampur areas to take stock of the situation.
A joint team of the District Malaria Department and Municipal Corporation, On Saturday, surveyed 1,243 houses and about 6,224 water containers were tested.
Larvae found were destroyed on the spot and the stored water vessel was emptied.
About 771 fever victims were tested with an RD kit. Spray and fogging have been done in 210 houses.
