BHOPAL: The results of assembly elections in the state proved to be a shocker to the BJP. Amidst tight contest between the BJP and the Congress in election, sensation prevailed from the BJP office to CM House on Monday. BJP national president Amit Shah sought information from Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar, national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and state in-charge Vinay Sahastrabudhe about the developments.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, after voting trends becoming public, had a meeting with the party leaders. The outcome of assembly poll came as a disappointment to several BJP leaders. In the meeting, it was discussed how the party could work for forming of the government, if the party fails to get majority. BJP state president Rakesh Singh too stayed at CM House and took feedback of the status across the state.

In the earlier rounds, there was hope of victory amongst the BJP workers but their enthusiasm started diminishing with the results coming out. BJP workers continued to see results late night.
