Bhopal: The release of BJP list of 176 candidates for the assembly elections has led to anger among party cadres. Supporters of some leaders, who failed to get ticket, have started staging protests at CM House and state BJP office.  Tikamgarh MLA KK Shrivastava, on denial on ticket, has alleged that tickets were given by taking money. He also alleged that ticket for Tikamgarh seat was sold. An audio tape of Shrivastava is going viral in which he is heard accusing a senior BJP leader of taking money for ticket.

Former minister KL Agarwal, during a press conference in Guna, has announced to contest as independent. Agarwal said that the BJP candidate would lose the seat. He claimed that his name was on the top in the survey but he was denied ticket.
Similarly, Sardarpur MLA Vel Singh Bhuria, on his not being given ticket, created commotion in front of the CM’s House on Saturday.

Bhuria reached the CM House with his followers. He claimed that the person, who was given ticket, had no standing. The dissident leader further said that he would contest elections as independent candidate. Bhuria, after meeting the CM said, he had come to meet the CM and if he does not change the candidate then he would come to see him at Sardarpur.

Follower of former MLA from Kurwai, Hari Sapre, also created ruckus demanding not to give ticket to sitting MLA Veer Singh. The followers of Baisahab Yadav, who got defeated in the recently held by-polls in Mungawali, also protested at the party office over the given to KP Yadav, who quit the Congress. The protesters even threatened to commit suicide if the candidate was not changed.

Minister Kusum Mehadale, MLA Narendra Singh Kushwaha and Satish Malviya too met state president Rakesh Singh and raised ticket issue with them. BJP leaders in Panagar of Jabalpur district have revolted as ticket was given to MLA Sushil Tiwari. They said that a local leader should be a candidate. These BJP leaders threatened that if the party does not change the candidate then they would take a major decision.
