BHOPAL: An exhibition in connection with the ‘Lok Manthan’ programme was inaugurated by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday on the premises of the state Assembly.
Chouhan, in his address, said Indian culture gives primacy to happiness and traditions. The present-day life is devoid of happiness and liveliness due to blind aping of the West.
The programme is being organised under the joint aegis of the culture department, Pragya Pravaha and Bharat Bhavan.
Intellectuals, subscribing to the ideology of ‘Nation First’ are attending this programme.
Chief Minister said India is a great and ancient country. At the time when Indian civilization was at its peak, many countries did not even exist. There were universities like Taxila and Nalanda in ancient India. He said India culture is based on traditions and human values. It is unique and varied. The developed countries did progress but at the cost of happiness. He said Indian life is enriched with positivity and life, which believe in present.
