Jabalpur : Nine groups of liquor shops have been sold for 10% less than the base prize in Jabalpur. Alottment of 10 groups is still pending and will be called again on March 27. It is to be noted that the shops have been divided into 48 groups of Country Made and Foreign Liqour. Allotment of shops from 29 groups has already been over.
Allotment of rest of the 19 groups had to be cancelled, since the pricing of the shops went below the 10% of the base price reserved for allotment.
The state government has okayed allotment of 9 groups, since the base price has been less than 10 percent. But the tender process for the other groups has been cancelled since the tenders were less than 10% of the base price, and the amount quoted by them was 40% less.
According to the district excise officer Surendra Urav, the tender process of rest of the shops will be organised on March 27. The information regarding the process can be obtained by Asst Excise Officer Surendra Urav. The tender process will start at 1am and the shops will be allotted after tender process is over.
