Laxmikant arrested in data entry operators’ fraud

BHOPAL: The STF investigating the Vyapam scam, on Thursday, took on remand three prime accused Nitin Mahindra, Dr Pankaj Trivedi and CK Mishra in connection with fraud in recruitment of data entry operators and would take former Minister Laxmikant Sharma and his OSD OP Shukla on remand on Friday. Earlier, all the five accused were formally arrested in Data Entry Operators recruitment fraud. On STF’s request, the court sent three accused Nitin Mahindra, Dr Trivedi and Mishra on police remand till May 10. The accused had tampered OMR sheets and results of the recruitment examination. Former minister Sharma had recommended some candidates through his OSD Shukla.
