Last Monday of Shraavan month celebrated with religious fervour

Thousands of devotees swarmed into the temples to mark the last Monday of the holy month of Shravan.  Shravan Maas is considered the holiest month of the year as it comes with innumerable religious festivals and ceremonies. All Mondays, or Somwaars, of the Shraavan month, are specially observed with auspiciousness. People were seen performing ‘Special Puja’ at various places.

Meghnagar: ‘Abhishek’ was performed by the devotees in various temples of the town. The Shiv Mandir located at gram Ghosliya, was thronged with devotees on the last  Monday of the holy Shraavan. On the last Monday, ‘Abhishek’ was with 2100 ‘Belpatra’ and ‘Dhatura’.

Jaora: A grand Kalash-Yatra was taken out in the city, which started from Geeta Bhawan, passed through the main roads of the town and concluded at Jaagnath Mahadev temple after performing Abhishek. The procession was taken out with the contribution of Jai Bhole Bhakta Mandal wherein 2000 women devotees participated with religious fervor. On the occasion, main convenor MLA Rajendra Pandey, coordinator Mohan Patel, municipality president Nirmala Hada, Dr HS Rathore and several other politicos were present.

Khargone: Amid drizzling, the auspicious occasion of last shravan somwar was celebrated throughout the city with devotional fervor. A royal Palki of lord Pashupatinath was taken out from various places of the town. Special Yagna, Puja and Abhishek were performed. Devotees thronged at the temples from early morning to worship lord. The Palki was lavishly adorned with beautiful flowers.

Khachrod:   The idol of Neelkantheshwar Mahadev temple and Balaji temple was beautifully decorated. Police gave god of honour to the ‘Sawari’.

Garoth: A grand procession was taken out in the city on last shravan somwar wherein devotees participated in large number and worshipped the beautifully decorated idol of lord Shiva.
