Labour Dept team raids at Slate-Pencil factory

Mandsuar: With an aim of getting the child labors working at dangerous industries released, collector Swatantra Kumar Singh had formed a joint team. Under the leadership of assistant commissioner Mandsaur, the team raided at a slate-pencil producing factory in the direction of Gadwi in Multanpura. As many as 6 girls aged under 14 and 1 girl aged 15 were found working at the factory. The girls were released from the factory and were produced before the Child Welfare Committee Mandsuare. Under Child Labor Law and Teenager Justice Act, an action is being performed against the owner of the factory. The team, which reached to raid at the factory, was consist of YD Nagar police station in-charge Patankar, nayab tahsildar Mukesh Bamniya, law officer, ICPS district woman and child development department, Ashish Upadhyay from Mandsuar, and other officers.
