BHOPAL : Burglars struck at the locked house located at Lumbini Parisar under Kamla Nagar police station and escaped with cash and gold jewellery to the tune of Rs two lakh in broad daylight on Thursday.
The incident came to light when the house owner returned and found the main locks of the gate broken and the house burgled subsequent to which she approached at Kamla Nagar police station and reported the incident.
Police said that complainant woman Shyama Bai (52), wife of Ramshankar Chaudhary resides at Lumbini Parisar in Kamla Nagar area. In her complaint she told police that on Thursday morning her son and daughter went to their office for job while her husband went on some work. At around 10am she also left house and reached at the collectorate from where she returned house at around 2pm. To her surprise, she was shocked to see all the locks of house were broken and cash and gold jewellery all to the tune of Rs 2 lakh were missing from the almirah in bedroom.
