BHOPAL: Suspended IAS officer Shashi Karnavat started her ‘Maun Vrat’ from Friday. Karnavat had met Finance Minister Jayant Mallaiya on Thursday with IAS officer Ramesh Thete but she is upset over the government allegedly not taking positive steps in her matter.
Karnavat in her meeting with Finance Minister had said that she wanted justice. Thete had also demanded to raise her subsistence allowance from 50 per cent to 75 per cent. It was demanded to issue orders in this matter soon as her family was undergoing troubles. Karnavat started ‘Maun’ against the govt not taking any initiative in her matter. Earlier, she had warned of taking ‘Jalsamadhi’ during cabinet meeting at Hanumantia on Feb 2.
