Gwalior: Congress general secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday termed Bhopal Lok Sabha contest between colleague Digvijaya Singh and BJP’s Pragya Singh Thakur as a fight between two ideologies. He was responding to a query on Thakur, an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, earlier claiming that her fight with Singh, a critic of Sangh Parivar, was not a ‘dharmyudh’.

“The contest between our senior leader Digvijaya Singh and BJP candidate Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur for Bhopal Lok Sabha constituency is a fight between two ideologies. It is a fight between two ideologies in which the truth and the Congress will triumph,” said senior Congress leader Scindia.
“This is a fight between a handful of people in suit- boot (well to do) and the public,” Scindia said. He refused to comment further on Pragya SinghThakur or the charges she was facing in Malegaon blast case, citing that the matter was subjudice. The senior Congress leader will file his nomination for Guna Lok Sabha seat on Saturday.
