MAMDSAUR : With the arrest of three persons, police claimed to have busted an inter-sate gang of bike lifters and recovered 15 bikes from their procession on Monday from Pratapgarh, Rajasthan.
Acting on a tip off, they made this arrest and nabbed Vijay Meena (22), Durgashankar Dholi (18) and Pinto Meena (30), all residents of Pratapgarh. Police presented them before the court from where they have been sent to police remand.
Police superintendent Manoj Sharma informed that Kotwali constable Mohanlal Sharma got a tip off regarding the leader of gang. Taking the information seriously, station in-charge MP Singh Parihar constituted a team under the leadership of CSP Chanchal Nagar and they went to Pratapgarh to nab the accused.
During the interrogation, all the accused confessed their involvement in crime. Informing about the modus operandi of their thefts, they revealed that mostly they targeted market areas and prior to the execution of the plan, one of their member did recce of the area. Vijay Meena was the mastermind behind all these thefts as after stealing he used to sale them at low price.
