BHOPAL: A lot of events were lined up on the second day of ‘Insignia 2017’, annual fest of Patel Group of Institutions. Both cultural and technical competitions were held. Chief guest was Ajit Singh Patel, vice-chairman of the group. In the ‘sur’ round, the students presented a variety of songs. ‘Hum badlegein, jag badlega’ (If we change, the world will) was the theme of the street plays staged by the students. In dance competitions, group and solo events were held.
In robot race, Abhishek Kumar and Ashwini Yadav, sixth semester students of the mechanical engineering branch of Patel College of Science and Technology were declared victorious. A healthcare exhibition was organised by pharmacy department in which the deleterious effects of smoking and the ways to protect oneself from malaria and swine flu were highlighted.
