Indore CBSE Class X results: Asmi, Arnav are city toppers

Indore: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared results of Class X examination on Tuesday. Gwalior girl, Mitali Jain, topped in the state with 98.8 percent marks. City toppers– Asmi Chelawat and Arnav Agrawal– with 98.6% marks bagged second rank in the state. Snigdha Singh, Muskan Jain and Saumya Gupta scored 98.4% and secured second rank in the city while Alka Parinda and Nandini Mavane stood third with 98.2% marks.

The effect of including full course in the Board examinations and paper leak were not seen in the results. City topper Asmi Chelawat, who is proud daughter of Miti Chelawat and Amit Chelawat, said that there was no shortcut to success and “only thing which can take you to your dreams is hard work”.

She said scoring less marks in pre-Board examinations did not demotivate her. Instead, she was motivated towards improving herself which led success. Asmi said, “Her success mantra was hardwork and determination. I slept for only four hours during my pre-Board examinations but during my Board examinations, I gave balanced time to studies and rest.” She said that her future plans include studying commerce with mathematics after which she will pursue her career in stock marketing and banking sector.

City topper Arnav Agrawal who is the proud son of Juhi Agrawal and Sachin Agrawal said he maintained a balance between sports and studies. He added that he gave sports an equal priority along with studies. He added that he played daily for one and half hour and is national level player. Arnav’s strategy included focusing on his weak points which he figured out during the pre-Board examinations.

He said his future plan is to pursue a career in engineering. City’s second rank holder Snigdha Singh, who is a proud daughter of Krishna Singh and Prabhat Singh, secured 98.4%. Snigdha said: “I credit my success to my parents and school teachers who constantly supported me.” She secured full marks in Sanskrit. Snigdha said she plans to become a doctor to serve the society.
