Gogawan : Gallons of illicit liquor are being sold in some areas of Gogawan, which seems to be low on quality parameters. While country made liquor is sold openly in pouches. Sellers sell these pouches from hutments situated shahpur Baidi , or from inside big cement pipes kept behind Durgapur temple.
Locals in the area informed that raw liquor is easily available there for Rs. 10 and illicit liquor worth Rs. 50,000 is sold in the area on an everyday basis.
Wednesday morning a bunch of journalists reached on the spot and found hundreds of illicit liquor pouches lying all over the spot. When informed,a police team sent by inspector M.P.Verma found around 100 to 150 unattended pouches worth rupees 1,500.
