Igria and Devitkhurd face intense flood

Bheekangaon : The gates of the Aparveda dam were opened on July 23, due to which villages Igria and Devitkhurd were destroyed. Gangaur Ghat, which was 100 feet wide and 300 feet long, will now be a memory for the residents of Igria. Devitkhurd, located on the banks of river Veda, was also affected.

 Kishorilal, who is a resident of Devitkhurd, lost his house and all his commodities including television set, fridge, almirah and gas cylinder flowed away. Similarly, grocery shop of Trilok Nayak was also destroyed in the flood. As per a resident, named Subhash Jaiswal, the intensity of the flood was never this high in Veda River. Many cattle have also drowned. As per the information received by the sub-engineer of NVDA, KR Mehta, all the gates of the dam were opened at six in the morning and were closed again at 8 pm.
