Bhopal: The Election Commission of India ( ECI) will serve notice on Madhya Pradesh chief secretary Anthony de Sa, seeking his reply on formation of new board of Indore Development Authority ( IDA) after announcement of assembly polls, sources said.

Looking into complaint of violation of model code of the conduct by the state government in this regard, the ECI has asked board till final decision.

The ECI legal cell examined law of town and country planning in this regard and decided to seek reply from chief secretary.

The government officials came under the scanner in this regard for sending appointment order to the IDA officials through fax after model code of conduct was imposed.

Indore District collector had clearly mentioned time of fax message regarding appointment and joining of new board members and chairman.
