BHOPAL : The winner of Master Chef India (Season 2) Kshipra Khanna was in city to launch her new show on Tata Sky’s Active cooking (interactive service) at DB City Lounge on Wednesday.
Talking to media persons, the young chef said, “I’m from Shimla and since beginning I have been a foodie. My mother sent my name for Master Chef Season-2. At that time I never ever thought that I would win. After the show, I also did many other shows from which I learnt a lot. Personally I love to eat vegetarian food but at the same time I also eat non-vegetarian food.”
“I keep an eye on International foods. Foreigners think that Indian foods are very spicy and oily which is not true. We don’t pay attention on presentation whereas our Indian Curry is very popular across the world. Wherever I go, I must eat the popular dishes of those places.
I’ll also eat biryani and kewab of Bhopal,” added Khanna on being asked what you did to keep yourself update. She also adds that “Still I have no plan to go in fashion industry and modelling. Right now I only want to focus in my cookery work.” Speaking about the career in cooking, khanna said, “It’s future is bright and there is lot of money in cooking industry. In beginning, we have to do hard work and students got good post further. Also, the atmosphere has changed a lot. Earlier the chef used to remain confined in a room but now it is not so. Now they are getting more exposure.” On the occasion, she also taught simple cooking techniques to decorate food.
