Houses get filled with water in heavy rains

Petlawad : In-spite of all the disputes that occurred during the construction of the main road from Ratlam, the road was gradually constructed. However, the carelessness of the contractor and the department can now be observed. It rained heavily on Monday. The pouring resulted in the submerging of the lower areas of Ghughri. As per the information received, the road had been constructed on a height, due to which, lower areas of around 50 houses got submerged. The people got chaotic. However, they managed to pull out their families and cattle. Irked residents congested the road.

SDM NS Rajawat and Nayab Tehsildaar Pravin Patidar reached the spot immediately and assured that the problem shall be resolved soon. Temporary drains were being dug so that the water could flow out. However, the tribal people, who carry their cattle, had to face trouble due to this temporary solution.

Similarly, due to heavy rains, two houses got filled with water in-spite of laying down the new pipeline. The SDM has instructed to provide with the compensation
