BHOPAL: There was panic at Nadra bus stand after two miscreants opened fire at a hotel owner at Nadra bus stand within the limits of Hanumanganj police station area late in the night on Sunday around 1.30 am. The person was attacked after a dispute over payment of bill between them. The restaurant was said to be located at a few distance near Hanumanganj police station and several police personnel make frequent patrolling at bus-stand still the accused mustered the courage to fire and then get away from the spot. According to the police, the 36-year-old victim Naresh Dariyani, son of Shankar, resides at 87, Prince Colony in Idgah Hills and runs Shankar Bhojanalay at Nadra bus stand. He was attacked by two miscreants who opened fire at him after arguments over payment of bill. The accused targeted his head but fortunately the victim escaped the shot and the bullet his right hand.
TI Hanumanganj Bhupendra Singh said that the two accused Shoaib Irani and Parvez Khan were history sheeters and had been booked earlier. Shoaib resides near Manohar Dairy at Hamidia Road and runs a soup handcart. He has been booked earlier for around a dozen crimes but not for major offences.
On Sunday night, Shoaib and Parvez went to take dinner at victim’s restaurant at Nadra bus stand. The two ordered Dariyani to pack dinner and demanded money for liquor due to which heated arguments took place between then. The accused left the spot seeing police men approaching and later returned with a gun and Shoaib opened fire on Dariyani, he added.
