Bhopal : The High Court, on Monday, slammed the state government for not taking its previous order regarding removal of hoardings seriously. Last time, the High Court had instructed removal of hoardings within 72 hours on November 24. Advocate Satish Verma, talking to Free Press, said, “The High Court had ordered removal of hoardings within 72 hours. But state government shifted the onus on civic bodies instead of taking the responsibility. Today, the state government informed the High Court that 7,862 hoardings were removes in the state. High Court said that this figure shows that state government did not take the court order seriously”. Previously High Court taking cognizance on PIL of advocate Satish Verma over hoardings. Verma had informed the High Court that hundreds of hoardings were put opposite categorical roads in defilement of Indian Motor Vehicles Act.
