Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): To encourage citizens to get the jab, the district administration in Gwalior has come up with unique offers. This is offer will be valid for a day, that is, June 21.
The state government has decided to launch a Mahaabhiyan (a mass campaign) for vaccination on International Day of Yoga. The government has targeted to vaccinate 10 lakh citizens at 7,000 vaccination centres on the day.
To make this mass campaign successful, the Gwalior district administration has announced to felicitate 50 lucky citizens with electronics goods and other gifts.
Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh told journalists that nearly 60,000 citizens are likely to be vaccinated in Gwalior district on June 21. “We have decided to felicitate 50 people. Their names will be selected through lucky draw, which will be opened on June 22. The draw will be held in presence of media,” Singh said.
He said vaccination will take place at over 200 centres. “A total of 300 teams have been formed for vaccination. Besides, 60 mobile vaccination teams have been constitutes. These teams will move around villages and small towns. The teams, which will achieve target, will be felicitated. And, those who will skip duty will be penalised,” he said.
