BHOPAL: The Gunga police registered a case of attempt to murder against those SIMI operatives who were killed by policemen in Acharpura village encounter. Three policemen sustained injuries during the operation. Those who were injured include ATF constable Narayan Singh, Mayant Singh and constable Dinesh Khatri. Police also recovered two country made pistols, live cartridges, three knives from the possession of slain terrorists.
A case under section 307 of the IPC has been registered against eight SIMI operatives including Mohammed Aqeel Khilji, Sheikh Mehboob alias Guddu, Zaqir Hussain, Amjad Khan, Mohammed Saliq alias Sallu, all residents of Khandwa, Abdul Majid Ujjain, Mohammad Khalid Ahmad, resident of Sholapur, Maharashtra, and Mujeeb Sheikh of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
