BHOPAL: Fed up with repeated complaints and demand for vehicles from security guards, whistle-blower in Vyapam scam Ashish Chaturvedi requested Gwalior police chief to withdraw his security cover. “I handed over a letter to Gwalior SP to withdraw my security as it was useless and no guard provided me security,” said Ashish, who moved the Supreme Court for CBI probe in the scam.
He is one of the crucial witnesses in several impersonation cases linked with medical admission fraud and had faced 70 attacks earlier. “Police jawans deployed with me for security, demanded vehicle as I use a bicycle,” he said.
They were demanding vehicle for a long time but now they are insisting because now some political parties have offered me vehicle following the scam being highlighted by national media, he said. He said, three security guards deployed with him did not provide security to him during his Delhi visit. “They stayed in a room in Delhi enjoying cricket match on television,” he said. Gwalior SP Harinarayanchari Mishra said 70 guards were changed after complaints from him.
