Meghnagar : The Central and the State government, both spend lakhs of rupees to ensure that proper water supply reaches to all. But this water however fails to reach the common man.
Government has arranged for Pyaus all over in order to make sure that proper drinking water is ensured to each and everyone in the state.
Pyau : The showpieces
Like in the district hospital, drinking water does not get supplied to the RO machine, which has been installed to make sure that pure water is available for all. But as of now the machine serves as a show piece—as there is no water supply in it. The real fact is that the staffers of the hospital are hesitate to fill the water tank from which the water is supplied.
Similarly railway stations which come under the Ratlam division like Meghnagar, Thandla Road, Anas and many other railway stations are deprived of water facilities. However the railways spend crores of rupees to ensure that proper water supply is available in the area. But the pyaus are deprived of proper water supply.
Social workers fill the gap
Many social workers, activists and volunteers are reaching out to Meghnagar, Thandla, and are providing free water to the passengers. On the other hand, the pyaus are working as mere showpieces. Thousands of litres of filtered water is distributed in order to make by Krishna Fascom to make sure that people travelling in trains such as Dehradun Express, Parcel, get cold and filtered water on a regular basis.
Trains which ply in the evening such as Janta Express, Avadh, Avantika too get the benefit of the social work that has been undertaken by organisations. The good work carried on by the social workers has rose to fame within a short while.
