BHOPAL : The government is going to shell out around Rs 40 crore for organising ‘Vaicharik Mahakumbh’ in Ujjain to please the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. This grand event would be held from May 12 to 14 and would be inaugurated by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would conclude it.
The RSS is looking after all arrangements for the event. Rajya Sabha member Anil Dave has been made in-charge of the preparations.
The government has also constituted a team of senior IAS officers, who would work under the guidance of RSS leaders for the success of the event.
MP Dave assigned responsibilities to these officers at a meeting here on Tuesday. The idea of acquiring agricultural land temporarily for the event is also being considered. In case land is acquired, the farmers would be given compensation. Arrangements of air-conditioned tent-cottages for 3000 persons would be made. Crores of rupees would be spent on erecting tents, building huge stages and halls for different sessions. Only pro-RSS scholars have been invited to the event. The state government would host all the invitees.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan would be present on all three days of the programme. Delegates from across the country and from outside are being invited.
