Govt to open 10 new Gyanoday schools for SC/ST students

Mhow : Birth place of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, witnessed a swarm of followers on his 125th birth anniversary. Rashtriya Ekta and Samajik Samrasta Sammelan was organised on the occasion, where Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and declared opening of Baba Sahab Bhimrao Ambedkar Social Science University. He also declared that 10 new residential Gyanoday schools will be opened by the government very soon.

The Government played a host to the followers of Ambedkar on this mega event which was addressed as ‘Mahakumbh’ by many dailies.

CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Cabinet minister in the ministry of Central Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot, Central Minister Food and Civil Supplies Ramvilas Paswan and many other politicians offered flowers at the Ambedkar Janam Smarak situated in Mhow.

The Rashtriya Ekta and Samajik Samrasta Sammelan was presided over by Thawar Chand Gehlot where Central Minister of Food and Civil Supplies was present on the occasion as the special guest. Other politicians present during the occasion were UAD Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Tribal Welfare Minister Gyan Singh, Food Minister Vijay Shah, General Adminstration Minister Lal Singh Arya, MP and State President of BJP Nandkumar Singh Chauhan, MP Chintamani Malwiya and Mayor of Indore Municipal Corporation Malini Gaur, president of District Panchayat Kavita Patidar, MLA Ramesh Mendola, MLA Mahendra Hardia, MLA Usha Thakur and many other important public representatives were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan addressed the audience on the occasion and said that efforts are being by the government to beautify the memorial built at Ambedkar’s birth place. Efforts to acquire lands from the cantonment are also on, where it has been promised that the military forces will get equivalent land elsewhere in the region. He further added that the government is trying to bring a positive change in the people belonging to the scheduled caste, scheduled tribe cadre.

Centre to spend Rs 100cr for Nirvan Sthali

Addressing the programme Central Social Justice and Empowerment minister Thwarchand Gehlot said that the foundation stone of Ambdekar Smarak was laid by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, after which the construction of the memorial was stalled for a few years. It was Shivraj Singh government which granted Rs 14 crore for building of the memorial. Similarly the Central Government will spend Rs 100 crore to build a national institute at the place. Similarly an international institute will come up at New Delhi costing around 192 crores at 15 Janpath, foundation stone of which will be laid by PM Narendra Modi.
