BHOPAL : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, in a review meeting of Department of New and Renewable Energy in Mantralaya on Friday, said Madhya Pradesh should become the leading state in utilisation of new and renewable energy in the country. Chauhan said renewable energy is the energy of future and attempts should be made to turn traditional use of energy into renewable energy. He directed that the government should purchase only LED lights He also asked government employees to purchase LED lights.
Energy Minister Rajendra Shukla and Chief Secretary Antony De Sa were present in the meeting.
