BHOPAL: Taking the agitating Patwaris, who had threatened to ‘expose’ bureaucrats and ministers if their demands were not met, head on, Ministers Gopal Bhargava and Rampal Singh urged them to reveal the details of the wealth amassed by officers and ministers if they any.
“Strike and negotiations are fine. But let them come out with the information they have”, they said. Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Patwari Sangh state president Prakash Mali, while interacting with the media on Tuesday, said “Patwaris will go on an indefinite strike if their demands are not accepted.
We will convene a meeting of the state executive to finalise our strategy. ” Mali said, “The then Revenue minister Kamal Patel had accepted out demand for a pay scale of Rs 4500-125-7000 and it was sent to the CM for approval. The then Water Resources Minister Anup Mishra, who was authorised to negotiate with us, also recommended the same pay-scale. The then Health Narottam Mishra too made the same recommendation on August 7, 2011 and forwarded it to the CM.
But despite all this, our demand has not been fulfilled. Now we have decided to go on an indefinite strike and expose the officials and ministers.”
