BHOPAL : The State Finance Department would make payments of bills of various departments pending up to March 31 in a day or two. The bills for payment of Rs 600 crore for 2014-15 are pending with the Finance Department. These bills were presented in the treasury.

The Finance Department had stopped payment of these bills due to cash crunch. Now the payment would be made from the new budget. That would eat into the budgetary allocation of these departments for the current fiscal.

The state government has received a sum of Rs 2,800 crore as its share in Central taxes. After the receipt of this fund, the Finance Department has directed to make payments related to salaries, allowances and other bills of various departments.

A huge amount has been lapsed with the Finance Department not accepting bills in last the 10 days of March. These departments are now sending statements to Finance Department.
