BHOPAL : Former Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia is going to hold a huge rally at Bhind on Thursday. Two Congress MLAs from Bhind district, however, would not take part in it. Ater MLA Satyadev Katare and Lahar MLA Govind Singh will not attend the rally. Katare won’t be attending due to health issues and Govind Singh because of his tussle with Scindia.
Singh said that he had not been invited to the rally. He said he is presently on a pilgrimage to Badrinath and even if he had been in Bhind, he would not have gone to the rally.
The feud between both the leaders has intensified with Singh issuing statement mocking Scindia over the incident of black flags being shown to the latter in the recent past. MLAs Imarti Devi and Ramnivas Rawat, who are known to be Scindia supporters, have demanded action against Singh. Scindia intends to display his clout through this rally and that is why, his followers across the state have been asked to attend the rally. Almost all leaders of Bhind are followers of former chief minister Digvijay Singh and Scindia wishes to establish his dominance in the area now. Other Congress leaders have also not been invited to the rally. Congress state chief Arun Yadav too has no plans of attending the rally.
Scindia is on a tour of the state for the past 14 days. This is Scindia’s longest tour of the state after state Assembly elections. His activities have made his rivals uneasy.
