BHOPAL : DP Singh, an RTI activist, claimed on Saturday that the governor office has failed to act on a complaint that made by him regarding the recruitment and promotion of Mukesh Pandey and Dharmesh Shukla in RGPV even after the passage of 50 days.

Singh has first submitted a memorandum to Governor Anandiben Patel demanding an enquiry on the matter February 23.

In November 2017,Singh filed an RTI Act to seek the details  about the issues raised by him in his memorandum but failed to get the details.

Singh then moved an appeal in December and learnt from the details provided in the response that the university recruited Mukesh Pandey as reader in School of Energy and Environment Management on June 26, 2006 and he was promoted to post of professor on November 4, 2009. This according to him is a violation of the norms of the AICTE and the UGC.

For a professor a candidate must have 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at level of associate professor according to norms of UGC.

He said that Dharmesh Shukla was recruited as steno at university on January 17, 2003. But, he was promoted to the post of deputy examination controller for academic session 2017-18. This is also against the norms of the UGC.

He said that the office didn’t even respond to the RTI filed by him seeking information about the actions taken on his complaint. “I am now going to approach the appellate officer,” added Singh.
