BHOPAL: Five countries will be partners in the Global Investors Summit (GIS) to be held at Indore from October 22 to 23. They include Japan, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Singapore and the United Kingdom. Ambassadors from 23 countries will attend the GIS. Around 260 investors from 37 countries along with around 3,500 representatives will attend the event.
Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, on Friday, reviewed the arrangements for the Summit. Commerce and Industries minister Rajendra Shukla and chief secretary Antony de Sa were also present.
Chouhan instructed the officials to ensure that all preparations should be completed in time. Senior officers of the concerned departments should be present in sectoral seminars at the Summit. The ambassadors and delegations from partner countries will also take part in meet. An exhibition will be put up in which 80 companies would display their products.
Madhya Pradesh Pavilion centered on state’s development would also be set up. A report card on investment in the state after GIS-2014 will be presented. As many as 13 sectoral seminars will be organised during the convention.
