Hoshangabad : Trident group, on the eve of Makar Sankranti, gifted Laxmi Niwas Girls’ Hostel to the female workers of the company and laid the foundation stone for the construction of the houses worth rupees 180 crores for the female employees working on various posts in the company.
Group Vice-Chairman DK Mittal and Dr. BD Badwar told that about one thousand houses are being constructed which are worth Rs one hundred and eighty crores.
The construction will be completed within November 2016. He added that at present as many as five thousand persons are working in the company of which one thousand workers and officers are living here. A shopping mall is also being constructed in the colony.
Those girls who come from other places on a daily basis have been provided a hostel of 87 beds. Soon a boys’ hostel will also be constructed. He also told that two lakh trees have been planted in 158 acres of land at the Budhni plant.
