BHOPAL : The body of a 22-year-old girl was found under suspicious circumstances at Railway tracks in Manmad on June 28. The deceased was missing since June 27 from DIG Bungalow area and a missing person’s complaint was filed in this regards at Gautam Nagar police station. The deceased was identified by the Manmad police on the basis of the mobile phone found near her body.
According to Gautam Nagar the deceased Durga Rajpoot, resident of Mazdoor Nagar in Shahjehanabad area had gone to a hospital at DIG Bungalow area at around 3 pm on June 27 along with her mother. She told her mother that she was going to get her medicines and did not return. Subsequently, a missing person’s complaint was lodged with the Gautam Nagar police.
SP (North) Arvind Saxena talking to Free Press said that the identity of the deceased was established with the help of her mobile phone. It was informed that she was going to Mumbai by Howrah Express and was run over by Tulsi Express coming from opposite direction.
It is yet not clear why she was going to Mumbai and with whom she was going. It could not be ascertained whether the deceased was killed or it was an accident. Manmad GRP and Gautam Nagar police are investigating the case. Police is investigating her mobile call details to find any clue.
